2025.7.25-28 We held the Kumamoto Retreat and IMEG joint seminars
We held a retreat, or closed in-person conference, at Kusunoki Terrace at Kumamoto University. Forty participants from Japan and abroad gathered in Kumamoto, where 14 oral and 18 poster presentations were conducted. Thirty-three participants were from Japan, four were from the United States, two were from Israel, and one was from Germany. These presentations provided an opportunity to share cutting-edge research findings and engage in active discussions. Additionally, 26 participants joined a tour of Mt. Aso to strengthen their connections further. The retreat served as a valuable opportunity for kidney organoid researchers from around the world to convene.
On July 25 and July 28, before and after the retreat, public seminars were held by Professor Andrew McMahon, Professor Jacob Hanna, and Associate Professor Ryuji Morizane. These IMEG joint seminars provided opportunities for interaction with many researchers within Kumamoto University.
